Being married have been one of those decisions that brings a lot of changes in your life, as well as some uncomfortable discussions about how is going to be our finances after this important event.
We have been quite lucky, both basically on the same conditions, broke but without debts and similar incomes. After this we decided to try our finances as a real business. We started listing our inventory, setting up an accounting system, writing down our budget and scheduling some board meetings.
Now after some time we have adjusted our budget ten thousand times, follow our expenses month by month, and reducing our expenses to reach what right now is a really good position.
We are spending 50% of our total income per month and saving the other half and now what to do with those savings is our main problem.
We do have big goals to long and short term but the hard part is arranging what to do with this money meanwhile We rich the goal.
Right now we are in a very crucial time of our life where we are going to take huge decisions and some challenges are arising. It is hard to change but we hope is for the best. We are desperate to start investing instead of saving and all those numbers and proportions and theories about how to do it are making us crazy. After some months I hope to write down a clear strategy and show you some results.
